Meet Alison Moriarty

In her atelier Swiss-trained independent watchmaker Alison Moriarty specialises in bespoke grand feu enamel watches that celebrate the traditions of horology while embracing individuality. Each dial is fully handmade by traditional methods and takes approximately 40 hours to produce.

Designed, made and assembled in-house in County Clare, Ireland, the results are one-of-a-kind works of mechanical art with modern Swiss technology to make a beautiful timepiece that is made to be worn.

Watchmaker

A graduate of the Irish Swiss Institute of horology and one of the youngest graduates of the prestigious WOSTEP Academy of Watchmaking in Switzerland at the tender age of just twenty-one, Alison’s first calling has always been in the tiny mechanisms which beat within her watches.

Using her extensive expertise each Moriarty movement is rigorously tested through six positions and adjusted to chronometer standards of accuracy.

Precision is a must for each Moriarty Watch and no piece leaves the workshop without being thoroughly tested over a 10 day period.

Alison designed her cases to be elagent but strong and everyday wearable to house a high quality Swiss movement that can be serviced world wide by a trained watchmaker.

Enamelist

Alison Moriarty’s signature is the age-old technique of grand feu enamelling, a process as demanding as its results are beautiful. The dials are hand-painted with powdered glass and fired in a kiln at aproximately 800°C multiple times to achieve their rich colour, lustre, and depth. No shortcuts. No mass production. Just patience and precision.

Inspired by Ireland’s shifting landscapes and elemental beauty, each enamel dial evokes a distinct mood—whether it’s the emerald glow of Hibernia, the glimmer of Marigold or the quiet serenity of Winter’s Night.

Developing traditional techniques and designing her special mixes of enamels over 6 years to make stunning watch dials fully by hand without using any machinery other then a kiln.

This is not just decoration—it’s personalised storytelling on a canvas of fire and glass that make our watches stand out and shine in any room.
